Book Blogger Hop On the Broomstick Friday

Good afternoon wonderful broomstick riders! We are having a busy week around here getting ready for the big event next weekend. The Practical Magic Blog Party with start late on the 23rd of September and for us here on the Broomstick will be up and active with giveaways until the 26th.

Have you read Practical Magic or seen the movie? If not, then you still have some time!

Now for the Hop question of the week...

“As a book blogger, how do you introduce yourself in your profile?”

This is a really good question. If I just had one blog, I could probably get specific about one thing, but because I try my best to keep up with seven blogs of varying subject matter, I cover the spectrum. I explain what subjects I cover and have a blurb on the blog that lets authors and publishers know how to reach me. I have my blog linked to my Google Account, which has my email, twitter and the rest.

  1. This week’s Book Blogger Hop really threw me a curveball.

That’s because I don’t call myself a book blogger. I never even considered myself a book blogger. Sure I blog about books and book-related topics week after week. But for some reason I never saw the label of “book blogger” applying to me.

If you’re wondering why then please hop on over to my blog and find out –

  2. Wow seven blogs, that is amazing. Have a great weekend and enjoy your books ;)

  3. SEVEN blogs? Wow. I'm impressed. Glad to have found you via the Hop!

  4. I recently changed my profile to reflect the fact I'm almost done with library school. Please come and read my new introduction.

  5. Hi there,

Thanks to Anna’s great Practical Magic blog party website I know that you are taking part in the event. I have pondered how to participate and thought it would be neat to post anonymously people’s thoughts and/or secrets regarding the movie. Sites which inspired me are:

    Post Secret
    Walt Disney Confessions

Those thoughts or secrets could e.g. be “I have already watched the movie 1,000 times,” “I wish I had a sister like Gilly,” “The aunts’ house is my dream house,” “I have dreamt about Jimmy” etc. Anything which comes to your mind when you think of “Practical Magic.”

If you feel like helping me out, be sure to send me your thought/secret as soon as possible at Of course, I handle each “confession” anonymously. And – please nothing x-rated!

    Greetings from Germany,
